​Director - Leigh Parsons
Born in Liverpool, England


Born in Liverpool, and raised in England and the US, Leigh’s love for soccer has followed him throughout life. From playing footie as a lad in England, to starting with the Darien Soccer Association (DSA) at the age of nine. Leigh’s personal soccer endeavors include:
Premier soccer clubs throughout CT
Selected to play ODP
Darien High School Varsity team for four years
Trial with the Professional England Football (Soccer) Club Tranmere Rovers
From then on, Leigh has pursued his passion for soccer, and combined it with his desire and natural talent of working with children.  Leigh’s history with soccer began as a child and continues, with his teaching and coaching of others in a sport that is beloved by many worldwide. Leigh began coaching at the DSA in 2003, and has seen his teams through very successful seasons. Leigh has been the Head Coach for Varsity Girls at Darien High School since 2011. He has brought the team to the FCIACs and State Finals, only losing to the eventual winners of each competition.  Leigh is recognized as a licensed coach via the USSF D.​

Our coaches are entirely committed to nurturing and developing players of all  abilities to achieve their goals in the beautiful game. Whether you are looking to play at a high level or just have fun, All Star F.C. is the place for you. We work with players from 3 years old all the way up to Varsity High School players and will always construct a specific curriculum to suit every players needs.
With years of high level playing and coaching experience we are well equipped to teach and demonstrate the skills it takes to become a better player. All Star F.C. coaches do not just tell players what to do - we use a  teaching method to ensure everyone understands the sessions they were involved in.

​Director - Alan Marsh
Born in Swanage, England


Born and raised in England, Alan, like many children, dreamt of playing football (soccer) for his country.  Alan’s journey began as a young child, playing for a local team and continued through to international selection. Alan’s personal soccer endeavors include:
o  Selected to represent his county, Dorset, at the age of 13
o  Captain of South West England at 17
o  Played for England Schoolboys U18 in 1999

Including away trips to Hungary and Scotland
and a home win against Wales
Alan then brought his talent and love for the game of soccer to the US.  He began in 2003 as a Premier Coach for Coerver Soccer and Everton America, enjoying success with his teams in many tournaments and cup competitions. He also began coaching at the DSA that same year, and coached the Eastern FC CT U16 Girls Team. Alan is now the Boys Travel Director, the Kickers Director and Academy Director for Greenwich Soccer Association, constructing the curriculum and overseeing the development of all Boys under 12 and all players under 8. Alan is recognized as a licensed coach via the USSF D, and also has several FA coaching badges from England.

Allstarfc Soccer

Meeting as Coaches at the DSA in 2003, Leigh and Alan recognized a kinship for the of love the sport, as well as their drive to see the development and success of children who share in their passion. Together they created All Star F.C. Through their drive and passion, they’ve developed All Star F.C. into one of Fairfield County’s Premier Soccer Coaching Organizations. Their dream is to see the happiness and the pursuit of the great sport of soccer in the eyes of the children they coach.   

Staff Coach - Chris Parsons
Born in Darien, CT

The love of soccer, and children’s development, doesn’t stray far from the family. Chris, Leigh’s younger brother, is also a coach for All Star F.C. Like Leigh, Chris began his soccer career as a player at DSA, then moved on to play Premier Soccer with Eastern FC and Beachside, beginning at the age of 13. Chris played Varsity Soccer for four years at Darien High School, and was selected as Captain and MVP his Senior year. Chris played college soccer at Eastern CT College, and now attends UCONN Stamford, where he is pursuing his degree in Early Childhood Development. Chris works with boys and girls, ages 3-18, as a Club Excel and Travel Coach with DSA for the past three and a half years.
